COVID-19 and tourist mobility at destinations: a literature review and emerging research agenda

Purpose This paper aims to review conceptual and empirical studies that analyse the impact of pandemic on mobility tourism behaviour at destinations in order identify proposals, forecasts recommendations guide future research agenda subject. Design/methodology/approach study used a systematic literature synthesise information from scientific articles published journals indexed Web Science database related during COVID-19 pandemic. Findings article found that, according existing literature, is acting as catalyst for sustainable transition tourism. Although findings reveal lack destinations, synthesizes short- long-term impacts sets out tourist destinations. Originality/value To best authors' knowledge, this first attempts describe emerging challenges research.
